MAJOR "SAVE THE DATES" (version 1.4)

On any given weekend, there is lots going on in the Silver Spring Regional Area. However, there are certain major events that merit making sure we put on our 'community events list' to make sure we attend and/or consider them when making plans for other events.... {All events listed are free, except certain fund-raisers, which are noted with an asterisk (*)}... Here's the still evolving list:

 Saturday, September 21st - Soul, Salsa, and Spirits Festival in Long Branch

 Saturday, September 21st- Beer-Fest V - Historic Cady-Lee House

 Sunday, September 22nd - Harvest Moon Festival on Veterans Plaza

 Saturday, September 28th - South Silver Spring Street Festival on Kennett St

 Sunday, September 29th - Kid Museum Mini Maker Faire on Veterans Plaza and Civic Building

 Saturday, October 5th - GreenFest on Veterans Plaza

 Sunday, October 6th - Takoma Park Street Festival

 Sunday, October 12th - 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Ellsworth

 Thursday, October 17th - Ice Skating Rink Opens to the public

 Saturday, November 16th - Salvador Sister Cities Event (evening) Civic Building*

 Saturday, November 23rd - Thanksgiving Parade (morning) throughout downtown

 Thursday, Nov. 14 - Monday, Nov. 18 - Community Stories Festival at Takoma Park Theatre and AFI
